Frequently Asked Questions

Integrity Lighting Partners supports specifiers, distributors, contractors, manufacturers, and end users throughout the lighting selection and procurement process. Below are answers to some of the questions we receive most often.

What does a lighting manufacturer’s representative do?

A lighting manufacturer’s representative connects qualified lighting manufacturers with the architects, engineers, lighting designers, distributors, contractors, and end users who specify and purchase their products.

Integrity Lighting Partners provides application guidance, product selection, budgeting, quotations, samples, project coordination, and ongoing support from initial design through procurement and installation.

What areas does Integrity Lighting Partners serve?

Our primary field coverage is Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Depending on the manufacturer and project, we also support opportunities throughout Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

Because territory assignments vary by manufacturer, contact us to confirm coverage for a specific product or project location.

Who does Integrity Lighting Partners work with?

We regularly work with:

  • Architects and lighting designers
  • Electrical and mechanical engineers
  • Electrical distributors
  • Electrical contractors
  • General contractors
  • Interior designers
  • Facility managers and building owners
  • Hospitality and multifamily developers
  • Sign companies and specialty fabricators

Our role may differ by project, but the objective remains the same: provide accurate information, thoughtful product selection, and dependable project support.

Does ILP sell lighting directly?

Integrity Lighting Partners is a manufacturer’s representative and does not sell products directly.

Lighting products are typically quoted and purchased through an authorized electrical distributor or another manufacturer approved sales channel. We can help identify the appropriate purchasing path for your project.

Can ILP help select lighting products for a project?

Yes. We can help evaluate products based on application, dimensions, performance, appearance, budget, availability, domestic-content requirements, and installation conditions.

For the best assistance, provide any available drawings, fixture schedules, specifications, photographs, quantities, mounting details, and project requirements.

What information is needed to request a lighting quotation?

Whenever possible, provide:

  • Project name and location
  • Fixture schedule or bill of material
  • Relevant drawings and specifications
  • Fixture quantities
  • Required finishes, optics, controls, and emergency options
  • Requested delivery schedule
  • Distributor or contractor contact information
  • Applicable domestic-content or certification requirements

Complete information helps us provide a more accurate quotation and identify potential issues earlier.

Can ILP help with photometric calculations?

We can assist with preliminary product specific photometric layouts and application studies when adequate project information is available.

Typical requirements include scaled plans, preferably in CAD or DWG format, ceiling or mounting heights, room or site dimensions, surface reflectances, target light levels, obstructions, and applicable project criteria.

Photometric assistance does not replace the judgment or responsibility of the project’s licensed design professional.

Can ILP help identify BAA, BABA, or Made-in-USA lighting products?

Yes. We can help identify manufacturers and product configurations that may satisfy Buy American Act, Build America Buy America, Made-in-USA, or other domestic-content requirements.

Compliance can depend on the exact product configuration, project funding source, applicable regulation, and current manufacturer documentation. Final compliance should always be confirmed for the specific project before an order is placed.

Are samples and project mockups available?

Samples and mockups may be available depending on the manufacturer, product, project size, and required configuration.

Some samples are provided temporarily, require a purchase order, or must be returned within a specified period. Contact us with the project details and the intended purpose of the sample.

How accurate are the calculators on the ILP website?

Our calculators are intended as preliminary planning tools. They can help users evaluate dimensions, voltage drop, low-voltage lighting runs, and potential retrofit savings.

Results depend on the information entered and should be verified against manufacturer instructions, project specifications, applicable electrical codes, utility requirements, and the judgment of the project’s qualified design or electrical professional.

How can I request assistance from ILP?

Send us the project information, fixture schedule, drawings, specifications, photographs, or field dimensions available to you. We will review the request and advise how we can best assist.
